Social Justice in Digital Resilience

One of the defining founding characteristics of this network are its social justice values: equity, diversity and inclusion; privileging feminist principles and perspectives and recognizing and fighting against patriarchal and male-centric paradigms; embracing anti-racist and anti-colonial principles and actions; and confronting and deconstructing able-ism.

Our work in this area explores ways in which these values can be incorporated into our daily work and the projects we are developing together.

Coming together to build common ground around what we believe in for social justice and how we want to apply these values in our processes and projects has been challenging but also very rewarding. We are currently conducting an assessment in this area, especially focused on the topic that we all identified as a gap in our knowledge and experience: anti-ableism. During 2025, we will operationalize our reflections with the help of an external consultant, to begin implementing different actions towards a more inclusive network.

If you are an organization interested in sharing experiences on how to integrate social justice values in your processes and work environments, we would love to hear from you! Contact us at hello@digitalresilience.network.
